La primavera medievale 2026
From 30 April to 3 May, Primavera Medievale returns to Bevagna, offering a preview of the renowned Mercato delle Gaite, scheduled to take place from 18 to 28 June.
For the occasion, the historic town will be transformed into an open-air stage, with days dedicated to culture, art and gastronomy. The programme includes concerts, book presentations, meetings with authors and conferences linked to the research carried out by the four historic districts, the Gaite, which will reopen their taverns and serve dishes inspired by ancient recipes.
Throughout the event, the medieval workshops of the four Gaite will offer an immersive experience into the world of traditional crafts, showcasing skills and knowledge handed down through the centuries.
Adding to the atmosphere is the high-quality food and wine offered in the Gaite taverns, where visitors can enjoy flavours from the past, including traditional dishes, aromatic spices, handmade sweets and the distinctive hypocras, the famous medieval spiced wine.
