Perugia will host the 2026 edition of the Perugia Eco Marathon on May 1 and 2, a running event combining sport and environmental awareness within the city’s historic urban setting. The event will take place in all weather conditions and is open to both competitive athletes and running enthusiasts seeking an organized and accessible experience through the territory.

On the opening day, the Expo area will be set up in the heart of the historic center at Loggia dei Lanari and surrounding streets, where participants can collect race bibs and kits and receive logistical information. An evening technical briefing will be held for competitive races.

Saturday will be fully dedicated to the races, with a single start from Piazza IV Novembre for all official competitions, followed by non-competitive runs. The course will run through Perugia’s urban landscape, highlighting key landmarks and ensuring assistance services along the route. In the afternoon, awards will be given to the top three overall finishers of each competitive race, while the official closing will coincide with the Eco Marathon time limit.
