Stage 6 - from Valfabbrica to Assisi

Description

The final stage brings together many of the features encountered along the route: ascents, descents and a few steep sections. The first part of the route leads through the silence of the woods; from Pieve San Niccolò, the view opens out over the valleys, among olive groves and vineyards, all the way to Assisi.

The entrance into the city is through Porta San Giacomo, the gate from which pilgrims once set out on their journey to Santiago de Compostela.
