Dancity Festival 2026
From 19 to 21 June 2026, Foligno hosts the Dancity Festival, an event dedicated to electronic music and audiovisual arts celebrating its 20th anniversary with the edition "The Last Dancity". Founded in 2006 as a cultural association, Dancity has built a path of research and experimentation that will take place at the Auditorium S. Domenico and Palazzo Candiotti.
Among the highlights is the performance of The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld, presented as an AV live set in its Italian premiere: the legendary 1991 album that blended ambient house, dub and psychedelia will be brought back in an immersive version. The festival also features Actress and Blawan, key voices of contemporary electronics, Etienne Jaumet with his approach combining synthesizers and saxophone, and Colin Benders, who transforms the modular into an orchestra-instrument. In absolute world premiere, the performance of Valentina Magaletti & Ben Vince, a dialogue between percussion and saxophone. Ghost Dubs, I-F, Noémi Büchi and Vera Grace complete the programme.
The programme opens on 9 April 2026 with a preview in Perugia: The Silver Thread, a project bringing together Shackleton, Wacław Zimpel, Siddhartha Belmannu and Giridhar Udupa, brings its only Italian date to the Auditorium San Francesco al Prato, weaving together electronics, improvisation and Indian musical traditions.
