At Leopoldo Eleuteri Airport in Castiglione del Lago, from April 24 to May 3, 2026, the Festival del volo 2026 takes place, bringing together two events dedicated to the world of flight. The initiative welcomes participants from Italy and across Europe and unfolds over two long weekends.

The first event is the Spring Meeting (April 24–26), a gathering for recreational and sport aviation featuring flight displays of historic aircraft, aerobatic planes and gliders, helicopters and ultralights. Activities also include model aircraft and drones, talks on flight safety, and book presentations.

The second event is Coloriamo i Cieli (May 1–3), focused on kites, with free and acrobatic flying, workshops for children and cultural initiatives.

Both events include meetings for secondary school students and visits to the Trasimeno Flight Museum (Muvat), a project aimed at promoting local aviation culture. The festival is set within a historical context linked to the development of aviation in the Trasimeno area.
