Saturday 30 May opens with the presentation of Luigi Garlando's book "Per questo mi chiamo Giovanni", during which the winner of the official short film section will be announced. In the afternoon, at the Sala dei Notari, Garlando also presents "Sandro libera tutti", a biography of Sandro Pertini. The evening brings the premiere of Io non sono nessuno by Geraldine Ottier, based on the true story of Mariasilvia Spolato, the first Italian woman to come out publicly.

In the afternoon, Lavia receives the Golden Griffon Lifetime Achievement Award at the Sala della Vaccara.
